Back-to-Back Leaders in DRaaS — Let’s Talk More About It

Leader in DRaaS

Date: August 8, 2017

Author: Dante Orsini

Editor’s Note: As of January 2022, iland is now 11:11 Systems, a managed infrastructure solutions provider at the forefront of cloud, connectivity, and security. While originally awarded to iland, this and all other compliance certifications and attestations now apply to 11:11. For the most up-to-date product information and resources, or if you have further questions, please refer to the 11:11 Systems Success Center or contact us directly.

For the second year in a row, 11:11 Systems has been named a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service.

We want to give a big thank you to our customers and partners for this achievement. Without their feedback and collaboration, we wouldn’t be where we are today. We’ve worked tirelessly to design an innovative product set and services that our customers appreciate. From in-app customer feedback to our in-person customer council sessions, we make sure we’re listening when our customers are talking.

All of the hard work that our teams contribute on a daily basis is also reflected in our leader position. From engineering to development to sales — everyone at 11:11 is committed to the success of our customers and ensuring that they have resilient IT systems. The MQ validates our ability to execute and deliver a market-leading DR service. Being recognized year after year — in a market that’s constantly evolving — is a testament to our commitment to the space.

How exactly has 11:11 been able to maintain its leader position? Great question. Let’s drill down into our differentiators to give you the full picture of our groundbreaking solutions:

Customer-Centric

With 10 years of disaster recovery expertise, we’re able to take a consultative approach with our customers. We build and deploy tailored solutions that they can manage on their own through the 11:11 Cloud Console℠. Our integrated DR service allows customers to enable self-service failover and failback of their workloads at the click of a button, plus failover alerting and recovery reporting. Customers can handle a variety of other tasks through our console as well, everything from testing recovery plans to provisioning a new VM to managing performance and security.

We also pride ourselves on exceptional customer support, delivered by our teams based in Houston and London. Every customer gets access to 24×7 phone support from our certified technicians. In the event of a real disaster, failover can be enacted by 11:11 support or by the customer themselves.

Best-of-Breed Technologies

By working hand-in-hand with our customers and partners, we knew that our users wanted more control and visibility into failover and recovery operations. So, we integrated technologies and capabilities that would provide the utmost transparency in cost and performance, while simplifying the recovery process.

We built a solid foundation specifically designed for recovery when we developed our platform. Over the last decade, we’ve carefully curated best-of-breed technologies from companies like VMware, Cisco, Nimble, TrendMicro, Zerto, and Veeam. We integrated services like backup, disaster recovery, security, and compliance into our console to provide our users with a simple, yet powerful interface. We also developed our own RESTful API and several SDKs for customers who would prefer to leverage the 11:11 Cloud platform programmatically. This advanced platform, combined with 11:11’s years of industry expertise, has allowed us to design solutions that ease the burden of recovery on organizations of any size. That’s where we stand out.

Flexible Pricing Structure

We developed a true cloud-based pricing model with our customers in mind. (Do you see a theme here?) We know that other providers lock their customers into paying for a standard rate regardless of the number of resources they consume. The resource-based pricing we leverage makes our services very cost-effective. Our users can allocate a variety of resources (CPU, RAM and storage) to different VMs to exactly fit their needs. They can scale resources up and down as needed without being locked into a rigid, instance-based plan. At 11:11, you can simply pay for the capacity that you leverage. And the visibility of our console makes it easy. Customers have access to detailed information into their performance — they can monitor and control their usage, and get detailed insight into both historical and predictive billing — which allows them to see what they’re using and make adjustments as necessary. With 11:11, you really do pay just for what you need.

Compliance and Security

Our platform, services, and console were built to adhere to a variety of industry regulations. Whether your company must be compliant with HIPAA, SOC2, ISO 27001, Privacy Shield or other industry regulations, 11:11’s offerings make sure you’re covered. With on-demand reporting and an in-house compliance team, customers receive a comprehensive compliance offering in our cloud: they can download the reports they need anytime from the console and they have access to our team of compliance experts.

We’re just as committed to security, too. Vulnerability scanning, intrusion prevention, storage-based encryption, VM encryption, and firewall reporting and blocking are just a few of the features integrated in the platform. That means that every customer benefits from proactive threat mitigation — at no additional charge. Moreover, 11:11 Systems was recently awarded the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) STAR Gold Certification. This award is a testament to our security posture, as we’re only the second cloud service provider to earn the gold-level certification.

We’ve built and continue to build a platform that helps businesses leverage cloud agility and protect their IT systems. Maintaining our leader position for two consecutive years is a great reminder that our hard work is paying off. We’re thrilled that our Disaster Recovery offering is disrupting the space. We’re going to continue to listen to our customers, drive more innovative features into the platform and do our best to drive cost down.

We’re halfway through, and 2017 has already proven to be an incredible year for 11:11. We’ve expanded our global data center locations, realigned our channel program, achieved a rigorous security certification, been named Zerto’s Cloud Service Provider Partner of the Year, and been recognized as DRaaS Leaders by two of the industry’s most prominent analyst firms: Forrester and Gartner.
