As you likely saw in our recent announcement, 11:11 Systems has been named a “Leader” by Gartner for Disaster Recovery as a Service in 2019. Download a free copy of the report here. This marks the fourth year in a row we have earned this honor. This is the first time any DRaaS provider has achieved this length of tenure in the Leaders box.
And it didn’t come easy this year. It never does.
The Gartner MQ represents a year’s worth of product development and customer service. Gartner analyzes all products, services, and support tied to a specific technology. Each year, they survey vendors individually to learn as much about the product as possible. They speak to a number of customers and get their honest feedback. Some vendors are cut from the report. Then, once the best of the best are identified, they package up the results in a report for customer use. Then, they do it all over again the next year.
I have worked through many Gartner Magic Quadrants over the years, and you can always count on one thing: The bar to qualify is raised every year. The requirements for inclusion increase. The survey gets harder. The competition gets better. And no one stands still. The Gartner designation is earned by all providers every single year.
And that’s a good thing. IT professionals work hard to keep their businesses online, and their data safe. But data loss and downtime happen. More data, longer downtime, bigger impact. Technology fails, weather and natural events happen, good people make mistakes, and bad people continue to do bad things. If the Gartner MQ gets harder, it means customers benefit from better data protection solutions. It’s as simple as that.
We know this at 11:11. We continue to improve and adapt to our customers needs. We focus on the services that really matter to customers looking to protect their businesses from data loss and downtime. And we focus on the capabilities that make for the best possible DR experience: automation and orchestration, security and compliance, and on-boarding and managed services. And it’s paying off. We have recently won Partner of the Year awards from Veeam and Zerto and accolades from CRN and Cloud UK. And now, Gartner.
Every year, we set out to do one thing above all else: protect our customers’ businesses. Will we raise the bar along the way? Count on it.
