Why AWS?
Why AWS indeed. This is not one of those start with why posts, but hopefully a peek into the reasons behind our partnership with AWS and what that means for you and how it could benefit you.
The beginnings of something great
Public cloud is well established, with about 50% of all workloads now running in a public cloud location. We have heard of ”the big three” cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Those are some of the most popular destinations for those workloads destined for public cloud. There are many reasons why you may choose one of those clouds over the other but we are not going to cover that here.
So why AWS for 11:11? With AWS we have a great synergy and a similar approach to what services and platforms we can offer. Some of our award-winning services such as 11:11 Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 or 11:11 Cloud Backup for Veeam Cloud Connect lend themselves to running from within AWS. With our marketplace presence, we can drive cost efficiencies that we can pass onto you, as well as being able to expand our global presence and offer these types of services in locations where we have not been able to before. It is a whole new world!
The Next Steps
We spoke about expanding our existing product offerings into AWS, which primarily focuses on protecting well –established, on-premises workloads and software as a service (SaaS) based offerings, such as Microsoft 365, but what about those workloads that are born in the cloud? This is where it gets really exciting for us and you. We can now bring the knowledge and expertise we have honed over many years for the traditional data center space and bring our team and methodologies to help protect public cloud workloads. All data should be treated equally, no matter where it lives. Whether that is in the way it is secured, created, and indeed protected. As we move forward and strengthen our relationship we have forged with AWS, we plan to bring to market best-of-breed backup and disaster recovery solutions for your public cloud workloads.
Conclusion
We hope you can see that our partnership with AWS should benefit everyone. Better pricing for you the customer, better product offerings from us the supplier and enhanced inter vendor relationships with companies such as Veeam to allow everyone to not just iterate on product sets but innovate as well.
